Activating the 10 Human Drives that Make You Feel Alive

Monday, May 14th, 2012

Another book by Brendon  Burchard, the author of  The Millionaire Messenger… and this time he is giving away hardcover copies as part of his launch (with you covering shipping cost, of course). I’ve ordered my copy!   Millionaire Messenger was packed full of helpful info, and I expect the same from this one.

Go here for the first video that talks about the baseline and forward Human Drives…
..and get your copy of  The Charge: Activating the 10 Human Drives that Make You Feel Alive.

Brendon will also send you 3 in-depth and invaluable training videos on how high-performing millionaires maintain their internal charge and energy, manage their time, influence others, and achieve more.
The The Charge Life Assessment is pretty cool too.

Business feeling stuck? There is a solution…

Monday, August 22nd, 2011

Is your business feeling stuck? Here’s a quick, easy exercise from Paul Lemberg’s book: Be Unreasonable – the Unconventional Way to Extraordinary Business Results. In Paul’s words (roughly):

Take out a sheet of paper and write the numbers 1 through 10.

Make a list of 10 to-do items, any one of which would help your business substantially (simple or complex). Just write whatever comes to mind.

Review your list… One item will stand out… Call on your intuition. Find the most important one and circle it.

Begin working on the circled item. Yes, right now.

This exercise is powerful. Do it today!

Paul’s book is well worth the investment. Click here to order your copy of Be Unreasonable now!

Have to do everything

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Here is an excerpt from a colleague of mine, Ken McArthur.  Good reminder for us “have to do everything” entrepreneurs:

Here are some very common things that don’t work.

  • Trying to please everyone
  • Trying to help everyone
  • Trying to fix everyone
  • Trying to do everything
  • Trying to know everything
  • Trying to be everything

To read more, go to Ken’s blog: How to Do More, Working With Less.  (He’s the founder of JV Alert, where some top internet marketers go to share ideas and Joint Venture on assorted projects.)

How to make a standard footer in Word 2003

Monday, February 7th, 2011

Hello again!

Ever wondered how to set up a standard footer in Word?  I’m still on Word 2003 (avoiding that new ribbon for as long as aI can!), but the general principals should still apply in the newer versions.  Check out my video!
How to create a standard footer

If you have any Word questions, I just might have an answer!  What would you like to know?

A quick quote from Dan Kennedy’s No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs:

If you don’t manage information,
you can’t profit from information.

(Thanks Dan.  I needed that!)

Speed-reading… How about Speed Watching!

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

There are so many great videos and webinar replays available on the internet, but who has time to watch them all?  As an Evelyn Woods speed reading graduate, I have been frustrated with having to. slow. down. to. listen. to. every. single. word.  Aaargh!   There had to be a solution!
So I searched and – yes, there is!  I found a REMARKABLE product that can slow down the video (helpful if you’re taking notes, or the speaker is just talking too fast).  You can also speed up the video to double, triple, even 4x the normal speed (without sounding like the chipmunk sound of a fast-forwarded tape).  The sound is very clear.  I find I run comfortably between 2x and 3x the normal speed.  Not only do I get the information faster, but my attention is less likely to wander.

Create a Cash Machine in less than 7 weeks

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

She’s done it again!  The millionaire maker, Loral Langemeier, has laid out the steps to take skills you already have (not necessarily your dream business) and turn it into a cash machine.  In 7 weeks or less, you can go from idea to sales (just in time for some Christmas spending money!).
The whole process is designed to help you learn to build a business right.  You learn as you go and create some fast cash to get you even more inspired.  After your Cash Machine is up and running, then you refine it, grow it, expand it.  (If you already have a business, this exercise can still be used to create related cash in one specific area.)

Don’t quit the day job!  This should be started on the side, and she specifically tells you how.  Amazing great deal on Amazon today.  Click here to get your copy of The Millionaire Maker’s Guide to Creating a Cash Machine for Life.

P.S. That’s an Amazon affiliate link; I might make a penny or two that will help keep this site up and running.

Letting Go Of Your Online ‘Friends’

Monday, October 11th, 2010

I just got an email form John Reese, known to many for his “Traffic Secrets” product.  He’s down-sizing, eliminating his marketing business, and spending less time on the computer so he can spend more time creating a business that really interests him.
His long email concludes with some advice we could all do well to heed – especially if we want more from life than we currently have:

I challenge you to think about minimizing
your communication with your online ‘friends’ that
you connect with on Facebook, Twitter, and via
email.  They very well may be taking away from
your life and your business rather than adding to
it.  We really do only have just so many hours
available to us in a day, and it’s really hard to
reach your goals if you spend a large percentage
of your time “communicating” and “researching”
and not “doing.”

Thanks John!  A good reminder for all of us.
