Jeffrey Prager, a very successful entrepreneur, has played key roles in multimillion dollar companies – as   CEO, CFO, CPA and owner – for almost 40 years. During those 4 decades, he’s learned how to manage businesses in less than 10 hours per week by tracking only 7 key numbers.

He retired in May of 2007 only to find out he was allergic to retirement. That’s when he founded Backroom Management.  It’s purpose? To provide education, support and software to help business owners earn the profits they deserve.

What were some of his achievements up to that point? Jeffrey built his previous company to $26 million in annual revenue. Simultaneously, he served as the CFO for another company, helping guide it to $100 million+ in annual revenue. He authored courses called Business Planning (A Cookbook Approach to Writing a Business Plan), Monitoring Your Company’s Vital Signs (An Approach for Analyzing and Reacting to Conditions Impacting the Profitability of a Business), and Marketing Your Professional Services which were taught at various state societies of CPA’s.

Jeffrey has taught courses on accounting, management and finance. A CPA with 36 years of experience, Prager also serves as a teacher of managerial economics (applying economic theory to business decisions) at the University of Colorado -Denver.  He also assisted in writing the business section for the “Certified Remodeler” designation, which is a program run by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

Over 25 years ago I went from being a wife, a mom, a concert pianist…living the American dream…and in an instant…I lost control of my life and destiny.

I was in a severe accident that nearly took my life and left me in a coma. With my skull fractured and the right side of my body paralyzed, a respirator machine breathed for me as I drifted in and out of consciousness.  Doctors gave my family almost no hope that I would survive – let alone be able to function normally.

Not only did I fight to regain my life, I defied the odds and went on to bear two more children, earn my college degree, and become president of a national organization for people with disabilities.

Through this experience I learned to "Never Give Up."

After Sherry re-learned how to swallow, walk, talk, read and write, she became instrumental in establishing a multi-million dollar Rehabilitation Center and was awarded the Jaycees “Outstanding Young Woman of the Year,” presented by the Governor of New Mexico.  She worked with Congress to establish the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Act. She led in the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), shaping regulations and policies that empowered people with disabilities to have choices to be able to live the American dream. Most recently Sherry led in the design and implementation of a $700 Million and growing healthcare program.

Rick Falls is a really energetic guy who has a lot of business experience, and loves to help people. He was a financial planner for a dozen years, then a Mortgage Broker for almost ten years, then a real estate investor and property wholesaler. He then spent several years and tens of thousands of dollars in the Internet marketing world looking for the magic pill that is so often promised, but rarely delivered.
Rick remembers waking up one day with a realization: he had a solution for real brick and mortar businesses that were having a hard time attracting customers and making ends meet.  He had acquired a LOT of amazing and useful knowledge that most small business owners were not aware of, knowledge that could quickly be applied to make a difference in their business results.

James Judson Dygert

Following the birth of their first child, James Judson Dygert moved his family to Florida to take over a small publication, his first venture as an entrepreneur.  Within several years he grew the company into a multi-publication media company which today owns or has interest in over 7 publications serving the SW Florida market.

His family has grown too; Jim Dygert and his wife now enjoy their 7 daughters. Currently,

•    Jim still runs his own publishing company.
•    He serves on the Boards of several emerging start-up companies.
•    He is Director of Staff for all of CEO Space’s 5 International Forums, as well as serving as both the president of the local chapter and as a Regional Director.
•    He has been a Trustee member of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce
•    He is active in multiple outdoor sports, events and activities.

What is his background?

Jim Dygert graduated from Olivet College, in Michigan in 1978, focused on marketing and accounting.  He became very familiar with the workings of the banking industry during his first job with the US Treasury, operating under the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) as an Assistant National Bank Examiner.

Following that experience, Jim worked with  a start-up business serving the private telecommunications interconnect industry to structure their financial accountability and performance related systems; he also created their corporate and employee handbooks for general operating practices.  That business still exists and is thriving today, over 30 years later.

Jim Dygert’s was exposed to several years of cutting edge technology.  His successes continued.  He helped launch the first digital electronic key systems, followed by the first digital PBXs.  He spent several months on a new Call accounting technology (SMDR – Station Message Detail Recording).  He made presentations to company owners and decision makers and sold solutions to clients like Wolverine World Wide, Playtex, major hospitals, colleges, universities, police departments.
